CNC Turner – Late Shift (4 on 4 off)

About the role

Our client in Hemel Hempstead is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join the late shift (4 on 4 off) team. You will be responsible for setting‑up and operating CNC turning machines to produce high‑precision components while ensuring efficiency and repeatability.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate and monitor CNC turning machines.
• Prepare tooling, fixtures and materials for each production run.
• Make real‑time adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Perform in‑process quality checks and log data on tooling sheets.
• Interpret engineering drawings and ensure first‑off parts meet specifications.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience with CNC turning and CNC grinding equipment.
• Background in a manufacturing environment.
• Commercial awareness and professionalism.
• Good general education with basic computer and numerical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and steady hand‑eye coordination.

What we offer

• Competitive salary £40,000‑£50,000 per year.
• Late shift pattern (4 on / 4 off) 6 pm – 4 am, Monday‑Thursday.
