Collections Advisor

About the role

Hilton‑Baird Collection Services, part of FRP Advisory, is seeking motivated Collections Advisors to join its award‑winning team. You will work across a diverse portfolio of SME, corporate, lender and insolvency clients, recovering outstanding balances in a compliant, efficient and professional manner.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage a portfolio of live, current and overdue debit accounts, making 50‑80 outbound calls daily.
• Secure payments, resolve queries or disputes, and negotiate payment plans where appropriate.
• Prioritise workload to meet business targets and team KPIs.
• Liaise with clients, providing regular updates on account status.
• Maintain high quality and professionalism while accurately controlling ledgers.
• Suggest improvements to departmental processes to streamline collections.
• Achieve individual targets and contribute to overall team productivity.
• Escalate and document issues outside standard processes to the Collections Manager.
• Participate in special projects as required.

Required profile

• Education to GCSE level or higher.
• Business or accountancy‑related qualifications are desirable.
