Commercial Account Executive – Insurance Brokerage

About the role

We are seeking a Commercial Account Executive to join a well‑established insurance brokerage’s commercial team in Poole. The position is ideal for a sales‑focused Commercial Handler or Account Executive who wants to deepen their expertise in commercial insurance while receiving structured training, mentoring, and clear career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Support the management and servicing of a portfolio of commercial clients.
• Assist with new business enquiries, renewals, and mid‑term adjustments.
• Build strong client relationships through professional, consultative communication.
• Gain exposure to client meetings and business‑development activities.
• Support the delivery of tailored insurance solutions across a range of commercial risks.
• Collaborate with senior colleagues and the Branch Manager to achieve team objectives.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Participate in training, workshops, and professional‑development programmes.

Required profile

• Previous experience in commercial insurance is required.
• Experience as a Commercial Handler, Account Handler, or similar role is ideal.
• Familiarity with commercial insurance products such as Commercial Combined, Commercial Property, Business Interruption, and Liability (Public and Employers’).
• Some exposure to Professional Indemnity or Cyber insurance is beneficial but not essential.
