Commercial Account Handler – Insurance Brokerage

About the role

We are seeking a Commercial Account Handler to join a well‑established insurance brokerage in Stockport. The role offers a balanced mix of client contact, technical broking and internal support, allowing you to manage a portfolio of commercial insurance clients without the constant fire‑fighting of a reactive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage renewals, mid‑term adjustments and day‑to‑day servicing for commercial clients.
• Prepare market presentations and obtain terms from insurers.
• Negotiate with underwriters to secure appropriate cover and pricing.
• Support Account Executives with client management and retention activities.
• Produce renewal documentation and process policy changes accurately.
• Handle client queries professionally and maintain strong technical and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Experience handling commercial insurance accounts, preferably within a brokerage environment.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver accurate, timely service.
• Strong commercial awareness and a proactive approach to client relationships.
