Commercial Broker – SME & Mid-Market Insurance

About the role

We are partnering with a respected insurance brokerage to expand its footprint in Scotland. This senior‑level Commercial Broker role will focus on delivering technically sound insurance solutions to SME and mid‑market clients while nurturing long‑term relationships with both clients and insurers.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for a portfolio of SME and mid‑market clients across a wide range of commercial lines.
• Manage insurer relationships, negotiate terms and secure optimal outcomes for complex risks.
• Provide technically robust advice on the full spectrum of commercial insurance products.
• Maintain client records, documentation and renewal workflows using Acturis.
• Collaborate closely with the executive team to support business growth.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial insurance broking.
• Broad knowledge of commercial lines with depth in SME and mid‑market segments.
• Proven ability to handle larger, complex risks with a strong technical foundation.
• Proficiency in Acturis on a day‑to‑day basis.
• Established network and strong relationship‑building skills with clients and insurers.
