Commercial Claims Handler

About the role

Our client, an established insurance broker, is expanding its Commercial Claims team in Colchester. The Commercial Claims Handler will support a diverse portfolio of commercial insurance lines, acting as the primary point of contact for clients and partners throughout the claims lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and action claim instructions promptly.
• Obtain claim agreements in line with contract terms and timelines.
• Process claims according to standard practices, maintaining accurate electronic files.
• Advise, update and, where necessary, negotiate open market claims.
• Communicate with carriers, third parties and service providers.
• Manage all financial aspects of claims to ensure timely settlement.
• Participate in renewal meetings with account executives and quarterly claims meetings.
