About the role

Our client, a leading chartered insurance broker in the commercial sector, is seeking an experienced Commercial Insurance Account Handler to join their growing team in Dartford. You will work with a motivated group, handling a portfolio of property, retail, combined packages and D&O risks while supporting the commercial desk.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit broker presentations and quotations promptly.
• Interpret broker requirements and provide tailored insurance solutions.
• Liaise with underwriters and insurers to maximise opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of broking desk placements.
• Assist in producing management information reports.
• Support the commercial desk with mid‑term adjustments and timely quote auctions.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Commercial Insurance Account Handler.
• Familiarity with property, retail, combined packages and D&O insurance.
• Strong organisational and self‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and underwriters.

Required skills

• Insurance broking and quotation processes.
• Understanding of commercial insurance products.
