Commercial Insurance Broker

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Insurance Broker to join a growing independent brokerage in Cheltenham. The role is hybrid, with 2‑3 days per week in the office, and offers the chance to manage a diverse portfolio of mid‑market and corporate clients across multiple sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with commercial and corporate clients, acting as a trusted adviser on risk and insurance matters.
• Structure, place, and negotiate complex insurance programmes to secure competitive coverage.
• Conduct client reviews, renewal discussions and risk assessments to identify improvement opportunities.
• Manage the full client lifecycle from initial placement through renewal and ongoing service.
• Collaborate with broking, support and business development teams to deliver an exceptional client experience.

Required profile

• Proven commercial insurance broking experience, preferably with larger corporate programmes.
• Broad technical knowledge across commercial insurance classes.
• Experience handling multinational risks or complex placements is advantageous.
• Strong client relationship and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to juggle competing priorities while maintaining high service standards.
