Commercial Solicitor – Property (Brighton)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Commercial Solicitor with a focus on property to join a growing organisation in Brighton & Hove. The role offers a permanent 35‑hour week, a competitive salary and the chance to work on diverse commercial property matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a mixed caseload of commercial property and development matters, including acquisitions, refinances and lease negotiations.
• Provide high‑quality legal advice on planning, construction and financing issues related to commercial property development.
• Draft and negotiate a range of legal documents such as leases, sale and purchase agreements, overage, promotion, pre‑emption and development contracts.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, agents, developers and third‑party advisors.
• Stay up to date with changes in commercial property law and market developments.
• Manage your own caseload and support senior team members on complex matters.

Required profile

• About to qualify or already qualified solicitor with experience in commercial law.
• Enthusiastic about continuous self‑development and embracing change.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication abilities.
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills, able to handle multiple projects.
• Commercially focused with a practical, solution‑driven approach.
