Communications Coordinator (Part-Time, Fixed-Term)

About the role

The Department of Geography is seeking a Communications Coordinator to lead the delivery of communications and marketing for the Masters in Conservation Leadership, a high-profile programme for experienced conservation professionals delivered in the David Attenborough Building by the partner organisations of the Cambridge Conservation Initiative. The post holder will be based in the David Attenborough Building and works part-time (0.6 FTE) under the Director of the Conservation Research Institute.

The role manages the dissemination of information about the Masters and its alumni to external audiences, members of the Cambridge Conservation Initiative, the wider conservation community, the alumni network, funders and other key stakeholders, so that the Masters attracts good-quality applications during its annual marketing round and keeps its profile clear to all target groups. The funds are available for 5 years in the first instance.

Required profile

• HND, HNC, level 4/5 vocational qualification or equivalent level of practical experience.
• Demonstrable social media skills on LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and other relevant channels.
• Experience in communications (for example in an NGO or university).
• Factual and theoretical knowledge of communications.

Required skills

• Use of web content management systems.
• Use of social media platforms.
