Communications, Engagement & Participation Officer

About the role

The Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership is seeking two Communications, Engagement and Participation Officers to support its ambitious programme of strategic change. The role will involve designing and delivering communication and engagement activities that help transform health and social care services for the people of Edinburgh.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement communication strategies that reach a wide range of audiences.
• Design and deliver engagement initiatives to involve patients, staff and the wider community.
• Produce clear, accessible communication materials across multiple channels.
• Support the partnership’s strategic vision by promoting change initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including political and public bodies.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of communication and engagement activities.

Required profile

• Proven background in communications, public engagement or a related field.
• Experience designing and delivering engagement programmes for diverse audiences.
• Ability to work in a complex, politically sensitive environment with a high public profile.
• Strong interpersonal, influencing and relationship‑building skills.
