Communications Manager – International Stores

About the role

Amazon is looking for a strategic communications professional to join its International Stores Communications Hub in London. The role will shape and deliver global communications programmes for Amazon Stores across Europe, the Middle East, Latin America and APAC, supporting high‑visibility initiatives such as Prime Day and Black Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Develop centralised communication strategies, messaging, narratives and playbooks for priority Stores topics that can be localised across up to 29 countries.
• Partner with in‑country communication teams to adapt and execute programmes while maintaining consistency and relevance.
• Serve as the subject‑matter communications expert, providing strategic counsel to senior executives.
• Manage proactive media engagement, including launches, milestones and executive spokesperson opportunities, and respond to reactive media inquiries.
• Build scalable mechanisms—playbooks, toolkits, calendars and processes—to coordinate B2C communications across multiple regions.
• Collaborate with US‑based comms counterparts, global leads and cross‑functional teams (Marketing, Category, Product) to align on worldwide strategies.
• Coordinate with third‑party partners, brands and customers on joint announcements.
• Draft and manage approvals for press materials, statements, talking points and external messaging.
• Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape and media sentiment to inform strategy.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic communications within a global or multi‑regional environment.
• Demonstrated ability to provide counsel to senior leaders and manage complex stakeholder networks.
• Strong track record of handling both proactive and reactive media relations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, compelling narratives.
• Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams and international partners.
