Communications Manager

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic, versatile, and proactive Communications Manager to join our small, agile communications team. You will bridge corporate strategy and creative execution, shaping both internal culture and external brand reputation for a leading news publisher.

Key responsibilities

• Implement Reach’s internal and external communication plans in partnership with senior leaders such as the Chief People Officer and Chief Content Officer.
• Provide swift, practical advice on day‑to‑day communication issues that affect employee experience and brand reputation.
• Draft, edit, and proofread high‑quality copy at speed, including executive scripts, announcements, press releases, LinkedIn posts, and corporate reports.
• Run the press office: manage media queries, support spokespeople with briefings, and track/report external media coverage.
• Design, launch, and run engaging internal campaigns independently.

Required profile

• Proven ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and pivot between internal advisory and external media work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong editorial eye.
• Experience collaborating with senior leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Confident handling of sensitive media issues and press relations.
