Communications Officer – Bloomberg European City Leadership Initiative

About the role

The Communications Officer will support the Bloomberg LSE European City Leadership Initiative, a flagship programme that equips mayors and their teams with leadership and innovation skills. Working under the Senior Communications Manager, you will deliver day‑to‑day communications across multiple channels.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and manage content for the initiative’s website, newsletters and digital channels.
• Maintain and update website material using a Content Management System (CMS).
• Develop and execute social‑media communications to reach diverse audiences.
• Provide media support, draft press releases and coordinate event communications.
• Prepare regular reports on communications activities and impact.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging.

Required profile

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proven ability to create engaging content for varied audiences and platforms.
• Experience producing newsletters and supporting media activities.
• Strong collaborative mindset and ability to work with multiple partners.
