Community Neurological Physiotherapist

About the role

This position provides high‑quality physiotherapy care to patients with neurological conditions and their families within a community setting. The role supports a multicultural population and works closely with multidisciplinary teams across North Central London.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and develop individualized treatment programmes for complex physical and psychological cases.
• Act as a specialist resource for other community therapy services and wider multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure assessments are completed within agreed timescales and support day‑to‑day organisation of the community physiotherapy service.
• Manage a designated caseload independently, coordinating with specialist equipment services, social services, voluntary and private agencies.
• Provide clinical supervision and training to junior physiotherapy staff, rehab assistants, technical instructors and students.

Required profile

• Qualified physiotherapist with experience in neurological rehabilitation.
• Ability to work autonomously without direct supervision while engaging in regular peer review and case conferences.
• Strong communication skills for educating patients, carers and multidisciplinary partners.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and training of others.
