Community Nursing Assistant – Children’s Community Nursing Team

About the role

The Community Nursing Assistant will join the Children’s Community Nursing Team at Ayrshire Central Hospital. This permanent position provides family‑centred care for infants, children and young people across a range of community settings.

Key responsibilities

• Support the care needs of children with complex and developmental conditions.
• Deliver high‑quality care in clinics, schools, early‑years facilities, family homes and other health premises throughout Ayrshire & Arran.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and respectful care.
• Contribute to community‑based initiatives and expand professional experience across different teams.

Required profile

• SVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience in community nursing.
• Valid UK driving licence (essential for travel between sites).
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to delivering family‑centred, respectful care.
