About the role

Rowlands Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated, patient‑focused Pharmacist to join its Newport on Tay branch. You will work in a busy community setting, supporting a team that serves around 7,000 prescriptions each month and utilizes Medipac robotic distribution technology.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and in line with legal and ethical standards.
• Provide medication counselling, answer patient queries and address concerns.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient care.
• Conduct medication reviews and ensure safe, effective medication management.
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage pharmacy inventory.
• Deliver immunisation services where applicable.
• Advise on over‑the‑counter products and promote public health initiatives.

Required profile

• Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Proven experience in a community pharmacy environment.
• Strong commitment to patient care and safety.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of pharmaceutical products and healthcare trends.
• Flexible and positive approach to problem‑solving.
