Community Public Health Nurse

About the role

The Band 5 Community Public Health Nurse will join the Health Visiting service of the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. Working within a multi‑agency team, the post holder will help deliver high‑quality health services to children, young people and families across the community.

Key responsibilities

• Support the delivery of the Healthy Child Wales Programme.
• Carry out delegated clinical activities under the supervision of a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse.
• Provide health promotion, preventive care and early intervention for families.
• Collaborate with social care, education and other partners to improve health outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to service development.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (NMC) eligible to work in the UK.
• Ability to work within a skill‑mix team and follow guidance from senior staff.
• Commitment to flexible working and a smoke‑free environment.
• Willingness to discuss reasonable adjustments for the recruitment process.
