About the role
The NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a qualified Podiatrist to join its Community Rehabilitation team. Working from a Community Centre for Health, you will provide specialist podiatry services to adults across the North West locality of Glasgow.
Key responsibilities
- Take professional and legal accountability for all aspects of patient care.
- Assess capacity and obtain valid consent, working within the legal framework for patients lacking capacity.
- Independently evaluate clinical and social information to deliver comprehensive podiatry diagnoses, including rapidly progressing conditions.
- Utilise evidence‑based assessment tools and outcome measures to guide treatment.
- Engage patients in goal‑setting and develop patient‑centred care pathways.
- Adhere to tissue viability and wound‑care guidelines.
- Manage a podiatry caseload efficiently, prioritising clinical needs.
- Collaborate with a multi‑professional team to ensure effective communication and coordinated care.
Required profile
- Registered podiatrist with the HCPC, able to work independently at an advanced level.
- Strong knowledge of legal and ethical aspects of consent and capacity.
- Experience in community‑based rehabilitation and managing complex podiatry cases.
- Commitment to delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based care.

- Wound care and tissue viability management.
- Patient goal‑setting and care planning.
- Effective multi‑disciplinary teamwork.

- Permanent part‑time contract (18.5 hours per week) with pro‑rata salary.
- Flexible working hours within 08:30‑16:15, Monday‑Friday shift pattern (2.5/7) with occasional weekend work.
