Company Accountant – Hybrid Role in Glasgow

About the role

This is a permanent Company Accountant position within a well‑established property business in central Glasgow. The role offers a broad remit across financial and management accounting, giving you direct exposure to senior stakeholders and the chance to influence business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain financial records for multiple UK entities and prepare month‑end management information.
• Produce financial reports, cash‑flow forecasts and monitor funding requirements.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations, control‑account oversight and covenant compliance.
• Track property expenditure against budgets, analyse variances and manage tenant invoicing and service‑charge reconciliations.
• Process payroll, submit HMRC filings and liaise with external accountants, auditors and advisers.
• Support wider bookkeeping, finance and administrative activities as needed.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience.
• Previous experience as a Company, Financial or Management Accountant.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously in a small‑business environment.
• Experience in the property or real‑estate sector is advantageous.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero.
