Compliance Manager – Healthcare Transport

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Compliance Manager to lead regulatory compliance within a fast‑growing healthcare transport provider that delivers non‑emergency patient transport. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, you will ensure adherence to CQC standards, health and safety legislation and internal quality policies.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct regular compliance audits across all operational departments, identifying risks and improvement opportunities.
• Support investigations into incidents and complaints, determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor compliance KPIs, produce and present performance reports to senior management.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of legislation, CQC regulations and industry best practice, ensuring organisational alignment.
• Collaborate with operational and support teams to embed compliance into daily activities.
• Assist in developing, implementing and reviewing compliance policies, procedures and quality improvement initiatives.
• Prepare compliance documentation for internal and external audits and regulatory inspections.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and healthcare compliance requirements.
• Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems and continuous improvement processes.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proven experience in conducting audits, analysing data and producing management reports.
