Compliance Officer – Risk & Compliance (London Hybrid)

About the role

We are partnering with a leading international law firm to hire a Risk & Compliance Officer for their London office. The role focuses on supporting client and matter onboarding, AML/KYC checks and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Support client and matter onboarding processes.
• Conduct AML checks, review KYC documentation and perform sanctions screening.
• Advise on risk assessments and ongoing monitoring requirements.
• Maintain accurate matter information and compliance records.
• Support information barriers and confidentiality processes.
• Assist with compliance reporting, audits and internal projects.
• Collaborate closely with risk lawyers, conflicts and wider business teams.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in a compliance function within a regulated environment, preferably in a law firm.
• Strong AML/KYC experience.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders.
• Legal background (Law Degree/GDL or legal experience) is advantageous.
