Conduct Risk Manager – Insurance

About the role

The client is a specialist insurer operating in the Lloyd’s market and is looking for a Conduct Risk Manager to lead its conduct risk agenda. Reporting into the Compliance function, you will shape strategy, influence senior stakeholders and ensure customer outcomes are embedded across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the subject‑matter expert on conduct‑related matters, including Consumer Duty, product governance, complaints handling and vulnerable customers.
• Provide pragmatic, commercially focused advice to underwriting, operations and international teams.
• Lead reviews of products, customer journeys, communications and financial promotions.
• Drive implementation, oversight and reporting of the Consumer Duty framework.
• Oversee complex complaints and conduct incidents, analyse trends and recommend root‑cause solutions.
• Develop and maintain conduct risk policies, procedures and governance structures.
• Produce board‑level risk analysis, management information and regular reporting.
• Deliver conduct‑related training and support to colleagues across the organisation.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify risks, improve controls and implement practical solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in the Lloyd’s market, preferably within an MGA, broker or insurer.
• Strong expertise in conduct risk, consumer protection and regulatory change.
• Proactive problem‑solver with confidence to challenge and influence senior leadership.
• Ability to work independently and drive improvements without waiting for direction.
