Conflicts Advisor – Risk & Compliance (Hybrid, London)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Conflicts Advisor to join the Risk & Compliance team of a top‑tier law firm in London. Working in a flexible hybrid model, you will act as a trusted advisor on all conflict‑related queries, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Conflicts Manager to apply and improve conflicts policies, processes, and systems.
• Oversee timely and accurate clearance of conflict checks.
• Handle complex, high‑risk conflict queries and escalations, liaising with partners, lawyers, and senior stakeholders.
• Support lateral hire processes, new‑joiner onboarding, and broader conflicts initiatives.
• Drive enhancements to conflicts workflows, systems, and service delivery while managing team workload and deadlines.
• Identify training needs, deliver training, and mentor Junior Conflicts Analysts.
• Provide out‑of‑hours support for urgent conflict matters.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of experience in a conflicts role within a law firm.
• Proven ability to research, analyse, and deliver tailored solutions to conflicts issues.
• Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with stakeholders at all seniority levels.
• Exceptional organisational abilities and capacity to manage multiple priorities.
