Construction Lecturer – Multi‑Skills (Full‑time)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Construction Lecturer to deliver high‑quality teaching across a range of building trades. Based in Manchester, you will work with further education learners, helping them achieve recognised qualifications and launch successful careers in the construction sector.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, multi‑skill lessons in carpentry & joinery, brickwork, plastering, painting & decorating, plumbing and tiling.
• Develop and maintain curriculum materials, assess student work and ensure learning outcomes are met.
• Lead and coordinate course teams, contributing to course verification and quality‑assurance processes.
• Support student recruitment, provide mentoring, and guide progression through the programme.
• Keep specialist knowledge up‑to‑date and contribute to departmental development.

Required profile

• Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
• At least Level 2 qualification in one trade and competence in a second trade.
• 2–3 years experience delivering lecturing or training in further or higher education.
• Strong understanding of innovative teaching techniques and internal quality processes.
• Professional, customer‑focused approach with excellent attention to detail.
