About the role
We are seeking a Construction Multiskills Tutor to join our Sunderland academy. The role offers a 36‑hour week, competitive salary and the chance to shape the next generation of tradespeople.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver practical, workshop‑based training across multiple construction trades.
- Plan and run engaging classroom sessions for both young and adult learners.
- Monitor learner progress, provide feedback and support employability.
- Maintain a safe, modern training environment that mirrors real‑world sites.
- Occasionally teach evenings or weekends, compensated with TOIL or overtime.
Required profile
- Level 3 qualification in a construction trade (e.g., Bricklaying, Plastering, Carpentry & Joinery, Painting & Decorating).
- Relevant industry experience; teaching experience is desirable but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for developing apprentices.
