Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist – Hounslow CAMHS

About the role

The role is a Consultant position in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry leading the Hounslow Adolescent Team within Hounslow CAMHS. Reporting to the CAMHS Clinical Director and the Trust’s Chief Medical Officer, the post holder will work alongside three other consultants and a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive mental health services for young people aged 0‑18.

Key responsibilities

• Provide urgent and routine psychiatric outpatient assessments, treatment and psychological interventions.
• Share overall responsibility for the efficient running of the Adolescent Team and the wider Hounslow CAMHS service.
• Lead and contribute to a range of assessments, therapeutic interventions, training and consultation for the multidisciplinary team.
• Manage a proportion of open cases directly in line with the annual job‑planning agreement.
• Develop special interests (e.g., tic disorders, safeguarding) to meet service needs.

Required profile

• Qualified Consultant Psychiatrist with experience in child and adolescent mental health.
• Operational and professional accountability to senior clinical leadership.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multi‑disciplinary team and across boroughs.
• Commitment to delivering family‑centred, individually tailored care.
