Consultant Solicitor – Flexible Fee Split

About the role

Richard Nelson LLP is seeking experienced senior solicitors to join its national consultancy model as self‑employed consultants. The role offers full flexibility to work remotely or from office, with a fee‑split arrangement based on revenue generated.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a personal caseload of civil, commercial or disciplinary matters.
• Develop and maintain client relationships, ensuring high‑quality legal advice.
• Generate billable revenue to meet the minimum billing threshold of £100,000 per annum.
• Collaborate with the firm’s compliance, admin and accounts teams.
• Participate in regular in‑house training and use firm‑provided legal precedents.

Required profile

• Post‑qualification experience as a solicitor, preferably with a strong client following.
• Ability to work independently and manage cases from start to finish.
• Minimum billing history of £100,000 per year or £8,000 per month.
• Commitment to the firm’s values of integrity, expertise and client‑focused service.
