Consultant Solicitor – Self‑Employed Legal Role

About the role

Richard Nelson LLP is seeking experienced senior solicitors to join its national network as self‑employed consultants. The position offers full flexibility to work remotely or from the office while building and managing your own client portfolio within a supportive, compliance‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a personal caseload of professional disciplinary and commercial matters.
• Provide high‑quality legal advice and representation to clients across England and Wales.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, aiming for a minimum billing target of £100,000 per year.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations, insurance requirements, and firm standards.
• Collaborate with the firm’s compliance, admin, and accounts teams for seamless service delivery.

Required profile

• Senior solicitor with extensive post‑qualification experience.
• Proven ability to manage cases independently and meet high billing thresholds.
• Existing client base or the capacity to generate a substantial client following.
• Commitment to the firm’s values of integrity, expertise, and tenacity.
