Consultant Solicitor – Senior Legal Consultant

About the role

Richard Nelson LLP is seeking experienced senior solicitors to join its national consultancy model as self‑employed consultants. This role offers the freedom to work remotely or from office while building your own client base and benefiting from a supportive, compliance‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a personal caseload of professional disciplinary and commercial matters.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, delivering high‑quality legal advice.
• Generate revenue through fee‑earning activities, with earnings linked to a 70‑85% fee split.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and maintain professional indemnity insurance.
• Collaborate with the firm’s admin, accounts and compliance teams.

Required profile

• Senior solicitor with extensive post‑qualification experience.
• Proven ability to manage cases independently.
• Strong client following, generating at least £100,000 annual billing.
• Desire to work autonomously within a structured, supportive firm.
