Content Creator

About the role

The Content Creator will develop engaging, high‑quality digital content that supports SP Energy Networks’ transmission projects and helps communicate progress towards net‑zero targets. Working across online and social channels, you will craft clear, creative material that informs, inspires and connects with customers, communities and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and manage online and social media content that showcases electricity transmission projects.
• Define and deliver “best‑in‑class” content for the brand, creating a strong pipeline of posts, campaigns and multimedia assets.
• Collaborate with media, communications and corporate teams to source relevant subject matter.
• Monitor content performance, analyse feedback and optimise based on analytics.
• Plan and execute new content initiatives, staying up‑to‑date with social trends and industry developments.
• Shape the voice and tone for project‑related blogs, web pages, media releases and video scripts.

Required profile

• Proven experience in content creation, digital journalism or communications.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, juggling multiple initiatives and stakeholders.
• Strong research skills to translate complex subjects into compelling stories.
• Excellent time‑management and organisational abilities.
• Full UK driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Online content strategy and creation.
• Professional writing, editing and proofreading.
• Video planning, filming and editing.
• Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS).
• Familiarity with social media publishing platforms.
