Content & Social Media Manager

About the role

We are seeking a content‑first Content & Social Media Manager to join our integrated B2B marketing agency in Manchester. The role combines strategic content planning with hands‑on social media execution to boost client visibility and engagement across multiple channels. You will work closely with PR, creative and account teams to turn campaigns and thought‑leadership into compelling multi‑format assets.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver content and social media activity for a portfolio of B2B clients.
• Develop content plans aligned with campaign objectives and client goals.
• Manage content calendars, schedule and publish posts across platforms.
• Lead community management and audience engagement initiatives.
• Create social posts, blogs, case studies, and campaign assets.
• Repurpose PR, campaign and thought‑leadership material into fresh formats.
• Adopt a channel‑agnostic approach, matching content to the most effective platforms.
• Support employee advocacy and influencer‑style programmes, especially on LinkedIn.
• Monitor performance using analytics and GA4, reporting insights to stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with PR, creative and client services teams.

Required profile

• Approximately 4+ years of experience in content, social media or B2B marketing.
• Agency background preferred, though strong in‑house experience is also considered.
• Organised, confident and ideas‑driven with a commercial mindset.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, client‑facing environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with GA4 for performance tracking.
• Experience creating and managing LinkedIn content.
• Familiarity with Meta (Facebook) paid social campaigns.
• Knowledge of SEO and website content optimisation.
