Contracts Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Contracts Manager to join our Southern Water Framework team based in Falmer. The role offers remote working flexibility with occasional travel to the office and a 40‑hour week.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the successful delivery of projects in the western sector, ensuring targets are met.
• Collaborate with internal teams and Southern Water stakeholders to develop and agree project costs, programmes and risk allocation.
• Work closely with procurement teams to develop best‑value strategies that minimise programme risk.
• Manage and develop project managers in the region, providing guidance and support.
• Implement comprehensive risk management strategies to de‑risk projects effectively.

Required profile

• Demonstrable leadership skills and a collaborative working style.
• Excellent understanding of the design and construction process with a track record of managing major delivery portfolios.
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracting and experience within the water industry or with regulated clients.
• Skilled in project management techniques and confident using Microsoft Office applications.
• Holder of a full driving licence.
