Conveyancing Solicitor (1-3 Years PQE) – Braintree

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Conveyancing Solicitor with 1‑3 years post‑qualification experience to join our growing residential property team in Braintree. The role offers the chance to manage a busy caseload, develop technical expertise and build strong client relationships within a supportive, high‑performing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion and post‑completion.
• Handle approximately 20‑25 new matters each month, ensuring efficient progression.
• Advise clients on freehold and leasehold sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, new‑build transactions and government‑backed schemes.
• Conduct title investigations, resolve title issues and liaise with estate agents, lenders, brokers and other solicitors.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts and supporting documentation while maintaining compliance with SRA, AML and lender requirements.
• Contribute to business development and departmental growth.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 1‑3 years PQE in residential conveyancing.
• Proven ability to independently manage a caseload of property transactions.
• Strong organisational, time‑management and client‑care skills.
• Commercially minded with a proactive problem‑solving approach.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality work.

Required skills

• Experience with residential sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity.
• Familiarity with title investigations and contract negotiation.
• Knowledge of SRA, AML and lender compliance requirements.
