Cook – Specialist Care Home

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Cook to join Cherrybrook Care Home, a specialist facility in Bradford that supports residents with complex mental health and dementia needs. You will prepare nutritious, high‑quality meals tailored to individual dietary requirements, contributing to the wellbeing and daily comfort of our residents.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals in line with residents’ dietary plans, including modified and specialist diets.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and presentation throughout the kitchen.
• Assist with menu planning using fresh ingredients to ensure a varied and balanced diet.
• Support the smooth operation of the kitchen by organising stock, cleaning work areas, and collaborating with the care team.

Required profile

• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Previous experience in a kitchen or food‑preparation role.
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Positive, reliable attitude with strong communication and organisational skills.
