Core Fellowship Doctor – 12/24 month NHS Fellowship

About the role

The Core Fellowship Doctor programme offers a 12‑ or 24‑month fixed‑term contract designed to develop clinical competence and prepare doctors for entry into UK specialty training. Fellows rotate through four to six monthly placements across three Trust hospitals, gaining hands‑on experience in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Complete 4 or 6 monthly rotations in different core specialties.
• Achieve required competencies and clinical milestones for UK specialty training.
• Provide high‑quality patient care across Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Basingstoke & North Hampshire Hospital, and Andover War Memorial Hospital.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and educational sessions.

Required profile

• Medical graduate eligible for UK registration.
• Has not completed more than 2 years of a previous fellowship.
• Motivated to pursue UK specialty training after the fellowship.
• Willing to relocate to Hampshire and work onsite.

Required skills

• Clinical competence in core medical specialties.
