Corporate Relationship Manager (Hybrid)

About the role

Metro Bank is seeking a Corporate Relationship Manager to join its Bristol team. You will act as the primary liaison for corporate customers, supporting them throughout the product lifecycle while collaborating with Corporate Banking Directors and Managers to meet financial and risk targets.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and grow a complex portfolio of corporate clients, ensuring credit and operational risks are managed timely.
• Evaluate lending opportunities, test financial metrics, and incorporate risk‑based considerations.
• Drive annual renewals, covenant monitoring, and post‑renewal compliance activities.
• Gather, analyse, and interpret financial statements, management accounts, and profit‑and‑loss data.
• Represent the Corporate Banking team with market professionals to enhance brand reputation.
• Collaborate with Credit, Lending, Financial Crime, and Regional teams to deliver seamless service.
• Uphold Metro Bank’s values, act with integrity, and flag any risk concerns.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of banking risk and its impact on stakeholders.
• Extensive experience in corporate banking, building senior‑level relationships internally and externally.
• Proven credit underwriting expertise with large SME/Mid‑Corporate portfolios.
• Deep knowledge of the commercial lending process from origination to completion.
• Excellent customer service, negotiation and influencing abilities.
