Corporate Services Director

About the role

Health Innovation South West is seeking a Corporate Services Director to lead corporate services, ensuring people, systems and processes support an agile, high‑performing, impact‑focused organisation. The organisation acts as a catalyst and connector, working with the NHS, universities, industry and communities to improve health outcomes, reduce inequalities and stimulate economic development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop corporate services including HR, governance & compliance, communications, business systems and programme management.
• Manage outsourced services such as IT and estates.
• Shape organisational culture and strengthen operational effectiveness.
• Support the Executive Team in delivering strategic ambitions and deputise for the Executive Director of Operations as needed.
• Build trusted relationships with internal colleagues and external suppliers.

Required profile

• Proven senior experience in corporate or operational management.
• Expertise in HR and organisational development, governance, business systems or communications.
• Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Collaborative, forward‑thinking and resilient mindset.
