Corporate Solicitor (2-6 PQE) – Hybrid – Newbury

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Corporate Solicitor with 2‑6 years post‑qualification experience to join our Legal 500‑ranked firm in Newbury. The role offers a hybrid working model and the chance to work on a varied portfolio of high‑value corporate transactions across sectors such as technology, life sciences, healthcare and professional services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload of corporate matters, including M&A, buy‑side and sell‑side transactions.
• Assist with private equity, venture capital investments and management buy‑outs.
• Draft and negotiate shareholder agreements, joint venture documents and corporate governance paperwork.
• Support group reorganisations, partnership transfers and corporate restructuring projects.
• Provide advice to owner‑managed businesses, entrepreneurs and SMEs.
• Contribute to client development, marketing and networking within the local business community.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales.
• 2‑6 years PQE in corporate law, preferably from a commercial or regional firm.
• Proven experience handling a range of corporate transactions and drafting key documentation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a client‑first approach.
• Commercial mindset and ambition to grow a practice and build long‑term client relationships.
