Corporate Tax Assistant Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager to join our growing tax team in Bristol. You will work on a mix of compliance and advisory projects for a diverse client base, collaborating with senior tax specialists and a multi‑disciplinary team of over 100 advisors.

Key responsibilities

• Support senior colleagues with corporation tax computations and returns.
• Assist on advisory projects such as capital allowances, R&D claims, tax due diligence and transaction/restructuring work.
• Mentor and develop junior staff through day‑to‑day support.
• Conduct tax technical research for broader projects.
• Handle tax‑related administrative tasks.
• Participate in marketing and business development activities.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, HMRC and other professional advisers.
• Work alongside audit colleagues on annual tax assignments.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in corporate tax compliance.
• ATT/CTA or ACA/CTA qualified, or part‑qualified with relevant experience and an interest in studying for CTA.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly with clients.
• Previous experience using Alphatax is beneficial.
