Corporate Tax Director

About the role

This senior position sits at the heart of a leading chartered accountancy firm in Leeds, offering the chance to shape the strategic direction of its corporate tax practice. The role combines high‑level advisory work with leadership of a talented tax team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex corporate tax advisory and compliance services for a prestigious client portfolio.
• Advise on mergers & acquisitions, group restructurings and strategic tax planning.
• Drive business development, converting new client relationships into long‑term engagements.
• Build and maintain director‑level relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
• Inspire, mentor and develop a high‑performing corporate tax team.

Required profile

• CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified with an outstanding corporate tax background.
• Minimum seven years’ experience in a UK practice environment.
• Proven track record at senior manager or director level handling complex corporate tax advisory.
• Strong commercial acumen and business development capability.

Required skills

• Expertise in corporate tax legislation and compliance.
• Experience advising on M&A, group restructuring and strategic tax planning.
