Corporate Tax Manager – Business Tax

About the role

We are seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to join a leading accountancy practice in Reading. The role supports the Corporate Tax Partner and focuses on larger multinational clients, delivering both compliance and advisory services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tax compliance and advisory services for a portfolio of corporate clients.
• Manage the full compliance cycle, including preparation and review of CT600 returns and related tax provisions.
• Generate new fee income by identifying consultancy opportunities and cross‑selling services.
• Lead and develop junior staff, ensuring quality standards and timely delivery.
• Respond to client tax queries, prepare partner billing, and attend client meetings and presentations.
• Deliver tax planning advice on domestic and international corporate tax matters.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified with strong knowledge of UK corporate tax.
• At least 4 years of post‑qualification experience, preferably in a Top 100 or well‑known regional practice.
• Good understanding of accountancy principles, especially tax accounting, deferred taxation and disclosures.
• Commercially aware, client‑focused and able to take personal responsibility for work.
• Experience managing junior staff and influencing change.
