Corporate Tax Manager – Financial Services (London)

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position sits within a growing corporation tax specialist team serving the Financial Services sector in the City of London. You will work directly with hedge funds, private equity firms, wealth managers and fintech companies, delivering proactive tax advice and compliance services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage corporation tax compliance for a portfolio of corporate clients, including both standalone entities and group structures.
• Provide tax advisory on restructuring, group planning, international matters, venture capital reliefs, acquisitions, disposals and due‑diligence reports.
• Identify tax‑efficient opportunities and collaborate with partners to implement them.
• Oversee billing, work‑in‑progress tracking and financial reporting for client engagements.
• Lead and develop junior staff, handling line‑management, training and performance appraisals.
• Contribute to business development by attending networking events and supporting sector‑specific initiatives.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to deliver high‑quality client service and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong client‑facing skills with the capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to engage with senior stakeholders.
• Creative mindset for spotting tax opportunities and anticipating pitfalls.
• Proven experience managing a corporate client portfolio, including group structures.
• CTA qualification.
