Corporate Tax Manager - SME

About the role

This position sits within the Accounting & Outsourcing service line of a well‑established professional services firm, acting as the SME corporate tax subject‑matter expert. You will own corporate tax compliance and reporting for a diverse SME and owner‑managed client base while bridging accounting, outsourcing, and tax teams.

Key responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for UK corporate tax compliance and reporting for SME clients.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the Accounting & Outsourcing team and the wider corporate tax service line.
• Collaborate with senior tax specialists on complex tax matters.
• Educate and coach non‑tax colleagues within AOS, raising tax capability across the business.
• Contribute to the development and promotion of the firm’s SME tax proposition.

Required profile

• Proven depth of experience in UK corporate tax compliance and reporting for SME/owner‑managed businesses.
• Current level at Assistant Manager, Manager or Senior Manager with strong technical expertise.
• Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical tax concepts for non‑tax audiences.
• Genuine interest in coaching, mentoring and collaborative working across service lines.
