Corporate Tax Senior – Bristol

About the role

Our client’s Corporate Tax team in Bristol is expanding and is looking for a motivated Corporate Tax Senior. The role offers a blend of compliance work and advisory projects, providing a pathway to deepen expertise across share schemes, R&D relief, and complex corporate transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare corporation tax computations and returns for a diverse client portfolio.
• Deliver advisory services on capital allowances, R&D tax credits, share‑scheme planning and transaction due diligence.
• Support senior colleagues on corporate restructuring and complex tax matters.
• Coach and mentor junior team members, providing day‑to‑day guidance.
• Conduct technical tax research and contribute to broader client projects.
• Manage tax‑related administrative duties and assist with business development activities.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, HMRC and professional contacts.
• Collaborate with audit teams on annual compliance assignments.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a corporate tax role, preferably ATT/CTA or ACA/CTA qualified, or part‑qualified with a desire to complete CTA studies.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK corporate tax compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Commercial awareness, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent organisational skills and the capacity to manage multiple deadlines.
• Professional, proactive and client‑focused attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Alphatax tax software.
