About the role
We are seeking a Cost Accountant to join NHS Dumfries & Galloway’s finance team. The role supports high‑quality financial services across the region, helping to ensure effective financial management of NHS services.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the delivery of cost accounting and financial reporting for NHS services.
- Analyse financial data to support decision‑making and improve cost efficiency.
- Work with NHS finance systems to produce accurate cost information.
Required profile
- HND, AAT Technician level, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum two years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Required skills
- Advanced Excel.
- Experience with NHS finance systems such as CEDAR and Business Objects.
