Counter Sales / Business Developer

About the role

Join the UK’s leading trade kitchen supplier as a Counter Sales / Business Developer. Based at the Bude depot, you will be the first point of contact for trade customers, building relationships both face‑to‑face and over the phone, and helping to grow the depot’s revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Call existing trade customers to maintain relationships and identify new sales opportunities.
• Analyse customer data to reactivate inactive accounts and drive repeat business.
• Manage a targeted customer list and meet daily call activity targets.
• Stay informed about customers’ projects to propose relevant products and services.
• Arrange surveys and appointments for Kitchen Sales Designers.
• Promote offers, events and new product ranges to keep customers engaged.
• Support administrative tasks such as invoicing and general depot duties.
• Collaborate with the wider depot team to achieve sales targets and deliver excellent service.

Required profile

• Confident communicator comfortable speaking on the phone and in person.
• Enjoys building relationships and turning conversations into sales opportunities.
• Commercially minded with a focus on driving revenue.
• Self‑motivated, positive and proactive.
• Organised and reliable, able to track pipelines and customer activity.
• Capable of working to call and activity targets.

Required skills

• No specific technical skills required; strong communication and sales abilities are essential.
