Court of Protection Manager / Private Client Solicitor

About the role

This senior position leads the Court of Protection service within a growing private client team. You will manage a mixed caseload, supervise staff and work closely with clients, families and external agencies to deliver compassionate, high‑quality legal advice.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied portfolio of Court of Protection and private client matters.
• Supervise and support team members handling Court of Protection work.
• Prepare and file Court of Protection applications and related documentation.
• Liaise with the Court of Protection, Probate Registry, HM Land Registry, HMRC and other bodies.
• Handle probate, estate administration, wills, trusts and tax planning matters.
• Respond to client enquiries both in person and remotely.
• Develop professional relationships to generate new business opportunities.
• Contribute to marketing initiatives such as legal articles and blogs.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with at least 3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Significant experience managing Court of Protection matters.
• Proven ability to advise on probate, estate administration, wills, trusts and tax planning.
• Strong client‑focused attitude with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
