About the role

Join a top‑80 UK law firm as a Court of Protection Solicitor (0‑3 PQE) within its Property & Financial Affairs team in Swindon. The role offers hybrid working and the chance to develop specialist expertise supporting vulnerable children and adults with deputyship and personal injury trust matters.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the management of Property & Financial Affairs deputyship matters.
• Maintain a supervised caseload of Court of Protection files.
• Prepare Court of Protection applications and annual Deputy reports.
• Support day‑to‑day financial affairs, including budgeting, payments and property transactions.
• Assist with the administration of Personal Injury Trusts.
• Liaise with clients, families, case managers, healthcare professionals and other contacts.
• Attend client meetings and visits as required.
• Develop knowledge of statutory wills, care funding and welfare benefits.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales.
• 0‑3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Genuine interest in Court of Protection and vulnerable client work.
• Excellent communication and client‑care abilities.
• Strong organisational, drafting and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a team.

Required skills

• Experience using a case management system (advantageous).
