Court of Protection Solicitor – NQ to 3 Years PQE

About the role

We are seeking a Court of Protection Solicitor to join a specialist team in Swindon. This position offers a newly qualified or junior solicitor the chance to develop expertise in property and financial affairs work while supporting vulnerable clients and their families.

Key responsibilities

• Advise and support clients whose financial affairs are managed through Deputyships and Personal Injury Trusts.
• Assist with the administration of Property and Financial Affairs Deputyships.
• Prepare Court of Protection applications, reports and supporting documentation.
• Assist with the administration of Personal Injury Trusts.
• Work closely with clients, families, case managers, healthcare professionals and other advisers.
• Attend client meetings and visits as required.
• Develop knowledge of related areas such as statutory wills, funding for care and welfare benefits.

Required profile

• Up to 3 years PQE as a Court of Protection Solicitor.
• Genuine enthusiasm for property and financial affairs matters.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach.
• Strong organisational, drafting and analytical abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
• Confidence working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop.
